Oldtown Veterinary Hospital is proud to announce that Dr. Lacey Rush has joined our team!

Dr. Rush is a native of Memphis, Tennessee and attended Auburn University where she earned a bachelor's degree in zoology and a master's degree in molecular biology.  During her time at Auburn she also competed in NCAA Women's Soccer.  She attended the University of Tennessee where she earned her doctorate of veterinary medicine.  After graduation she relocated to Winston-Salem to join her fiancÚ, a veterinarian at Wake Forest University.  She has been working in both general practice and emergency setting for the past 2 years.  Her professional interests include advanced internal medicine, ophthalmology, critical care medicine and soft tissue surgery.

In her spare time, Dr. Rush enjoys staying active by swimming, running and competing in triathlon events.  She remains an avid Tennessee Volunteer fan and is often spotted wearing bright orange clothing.  Go vols!

Dr. Rush's fur children include 4 Pomeranians (Tink, Bear, Neil and Melon) and 1 Persian cat (Feldman).  She describes Tink as the "love of her life" (perhaps a close second to her fiancÚ), Bear as the only "normal one", Neil as the "space alien" and Melon (aka The MarshMellon) as being pleasantly evil.  Feldman is the new addition and continues to stir the pot during his kitten-hood.
