Oldtown Veterinary Hospital is proud to announce that Dr. Shannon McCourt has joined our team!

Dr. McCourt is a 2002 graduate of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and has been a small animal practitioner in the Triad area for 9 years.

Dr. McCourt brings a new and exciting skill set to Oldtown Vet as a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner.  She earned her Certification from the University of Tennessee in 2007 and can design a customized rehabilitation plan for your pet after surgery, injury, or certain diseases.  Her special training can also be used to combat pet obesity and its complication.  Read more about Canine Rehab....

In her spare time, Dr. McCourt enjoys the outdoors, sports, and is an avid reader.  She is active in our community including her role as assistant coach with the 6-time NC 1A State Champion Bishop McGuiness Girl's Basketball Team.

Dr. McCourt is a great asset to Oldtown and she is committed to providing  you and your pets the extraordinary care you have come to expect from Oldtown Veterinary Hospital.
